One year ago, I wrote this article warning that Bronkhorstspruit residents were being forced to drink muddy, potentially unsafe water while still being billed for it. I even reached out to the sitting Mayor of Tshwane @nasiphim to raise the urgency of the crisis. If this water crisis is not dealt with, it will cost innocent lives.

APOLOGY | IOL would like to extend a formal apology to the EFF Joburg mayoral candidate @drtlaleng Mofokeng for an incorrectly worded caption published last night during the IOL Town Hall Discussion at the Joburg Theatre. Dr Mofokeng did indeed indicate to the moderator, IOL deputy editor Lee Rondganger, that she would leave at 6pm as she had prior commitments, and this was accepted. However, this was unknown to the social media team covering the event, leading to the unfortunate caption that was published. IOL immediately removed the posts once the matter was clarified during a debriefing session.
We apologize once more to Dr Mofokeng and the EFF.

BREAKING NEWS: Durban protests participant, Wandile Nsibande, has been arrested shortly after being granted R1000 bail by the Durban Magistrate Court in KwaZulu-Natal.

Nsibande was detained on the basis that he violated his parole conditions which were imposed by the Department of Correctional Services.

That when it freed him after doing considerable time for a kidnapping and robbery case that happened in 2009 in Shallcross - KZN Tonight Podcast
