If you rewrite history, it still won't change what happened.
In the end, thousands took to the streets because President Trump gave them hope and promised them that help was on the way. We could have kept striking the regime, but Trump stopped us - more than once. During the 12-Day War, he stopped us again, once again giving the regime a lifeline.
He then suddenly decided to pursue a reckless peace deal, and for the most important issue in the world, he sent the least knowledgeable and least trustworthy person he had - Vance. Since then, the voices opposing what they see as a reckless surrender deal have been silenced - the very people who will ultimately pay the price.
He brought Israel into the negotiations without even consulting it. At the regime's request, he linked his reckless agreement to Hezbollah, giving the terrorist organization a lifeline and helping ensure its survival. In doing so, he also effectively bound Israel to it.
Let's not forget that since then, he has described the regime's leadership as rational and reasonable people, and even said they are good for the Iranian people. He has also called Erdoğan - a man who openly seeks Israel's destruction - a good friend, a smart man, and a good guy. I certainly haven't forgotten his planned visit or the gifts he promised him.
He also claimed Iran's navy was gone, said its ballistic missile capabilities had been virtually eliminated, and insisted its nuclear program had been completely obliterated. Reality proved far more complicated.
At the same time, he makes outrageous statements like, "Without me, there is no Israel," and even suggested entrusting Israel's northern security to al-Qaeda terrorist al-Julani.
As if that weren't enough, he attacks Netanyahu at every opportunity, leaks details of their private conversations, and makes statements that strengthen Israel's enemies.
Trump did many good things for Israel and for the Iranian people, but he betrayed them both without hesitation. I have no other way to explain this disturbing spectacle.
Forgive me if I don't find his jokes funny.

Fun fact: Egypt has built a 7-layered wall on its border with Gaza to make sure not a single Palestinian refugee crosses into Egypt 🤡
