@LevAkabas The real issue with this, is that there are rarely any teams that have enough cap space to sign FA's outright, so most of the FA situations end up sign+trade instead which this graph does not account for.
@Kevc4d@charlieINTEL@cecianasta We'll see. I'm still on a sub that I stacked multiple years in heavily discounted years ago. I'm definitely not paying for it going forward anymore and I'm probably not alone.
@IlGreven@EmreDeleuzeoglu@signulll Yes, the difference being every pitcher vs batter matchup through that 2:15 is exciting no matter the outcome. Watching players kick the ball sideways and backwards for 10 minutes while 16 other guys just stand around isn't that exciting to many people.
@EmreDeleuzeoglu@signulll Actually we all hated that and MLB changed the rules to add a pitch clock that made the pace of play extremely more efficient and enjoyable. Today if there's only 1 hit in the bottom of the last inning the games is over in 2:15.
@AdamMKaufman@DB82152020 The only thing that really matters is if they are healthy in May/June honestly. Their seeding in the playoffs is mostly irrelevant as home court seems to be no longer an advantage in the NBA.
@MrJah06644257@ShamsCharania They will just have to deal with the roster building consequences and the huge tax bill. Worth it to keep their window open a bit.
@JustEllis21@DanKelley66 The issue was they has to move Simons and reduce salary enough to get under the tax apron. All if the deadline moves were done for that purpose only. The repeater penalties are way more than just financial under the new CBA unfortunately, so this isn't just a new owner waving $$$
