As preparations continue for the second MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programme (MIT REAP) workshop, Team Kano/Jigawa convened at the NASENI @NASENIHQ Innovation Hub to discuss ways to strengthen innovation and agribusiness across the region.

The session, hosted by NASENI EVC/CEO Khalil Halilu @KSHalilu , brought together Dr. Mohammed Dahiru @Mohsally , Chairman of the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology Transfer (PICTT)@pi_ctt , as well as representatives from government and the private sector.

Attention was given to findings from the Kano–Jigawa ecosystem assessment, with discussions around some of the barriers slowing agricultural and business development, including infrastructure gaps, limited financing, weak links between research and commercial opportunities, and poor coordination.

Participants stressed that closer cooperation between government, businesses, research institutions, entrepreneurs and investors will be essential to creating a stronger and more productive agribusiness environment.
