We're proud of the lifesaving work our volunteers do in the Channel – we make no apology for it. Those we rescue are vulnerable people in danger & distress. Each of them is someone’s father, mother, son or daughter - every life is precious. This is why we launch:
Please take extra care with your four-legged friends when walking around the coast.
🐶 Keep them on a lead
🌊 If they do end up in the water/mud don't go in after them
👋 Move to a safe place and call for them
📞 If you're worried, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard
Our RNLI Shop in Dungeness is currently closed but you can still shop safely online. In these difficult times your support means more than ever. Shop now at https://t.co/haDnGUeDyj & use code DUNGENESS for free delivery. See https://t.co/8KG9QoWAgx for terms of this promotion.
The message this weekend is simple.
⚠️There are currently no @RNLI Lifeguards on the beach, anywhere.
⚠️We all must take more care than normal.
⚠️Lifeboat’s are available but we must protect all emergency services.
⚠️Your role to look after yourself & your family is vital.
While Dungeness RNLI will be closed to visitors for a while, we appreciate your ongoing support, without which we wouldn’t be able to save lives at sea.
Thank you to all that had their car washed by our crew today! We had a fantastic and freezing day and we have raised approx £1200!!
Big thanks go to The Pilot who provided the troops with lunch free of charge and to Sam Cardew who made some excellent sausage rolls!
Dungeness RNLI is looking for a volunteer to fill a Deputy Launching Authority vacancy, here on station. Could that be YOU? RNLI training will be given. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team then contact our LOM Roger by emailing [email protected]
