He got it from his mama.

Bear 89, aka Backpack, is the 2026 Fat Bear Week champ. Turns out hefty runs in the family.

His mom, Holly the Duchess of Density, won in 2019. She carried him on her back as a cub and helped him survive a serious leg injury. Now her little Backpack has a crown of his own. 👑

@BarstoolBigCat I had Stafford vs puka. That was a catch and I could have faced defeat with dignity if it was reversed

If your going to have holdouts in college football then there should be trades too. Sorry Nico enjoy West Point maybe learn some leadership

[Ethan @TheyCallMeSlag]

I want to say it’s not Nico’s fault. Maybe it was his dad. Maybe it was his agent. At the end of the day the guy didn’t show up for practice

[Ethan @TheyCallMeSlag]

@Lane_Kiffin Dawg you had to see this coming 😂

Josh Heupel, on Nico Iamaleava situation

“It’s unfortunate. I want to thank Nico for everything he did here. Obviously we’re moving forward as a program. There’s no one bigger than the Power T, and that includes me."

[Ethan @TheyCallMeSlag]

How many coaches ask for a doubling salary raise after a mediocre performance? Vols defense and run game took them to the playoffs. Don’t encourage this behavior while college football is in its Wild West era of NIL

[Robert Griffin III @RGIII]

The Nico Lamaleava situation is an interesting one. Player wants more money and the team doesn’t want to pay, so the player enters the transfer portal. If you are screaming that the players should honor their contract and commitment to the school, then you better say the same for Coaches who leave for more money and a better opportunity.

Sources: Tennessee is moving on from starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Tennessee coach Josh Heupel informed the team of the decision at a team meeting this morning. Iamaleava missed meetings and practice on Friday, which was the driver of this decision.
