"'EVs are bad because they're charged with fossil fuel electricity" is not the argument you think it is.
It's an argument for more solar and batteries (and wind) — the exact technologies the government taxed and delayed.
Fossil fuels are 100% imported - adding financial forex stress, supply chain risk, national security risk, and pollution.
Solar, wind (and batteries to store) - collects domestic electrons falling out the sky. And 10x cheaper than imported fossil molecules. What's your logic?
The world is seriously preparing for a fuel shortage (regardless of whether or not it happens). But apart from a gentle "use less" message, it's business as usual in #SriLanka. No shame in issuing a stronger message. It's not a political defeat.

My advice for all of you is make sure you enjoy watching this amazing squad. Block out as much of the rage bait as you can. Control what content you expose yourself to. There are no trophies up for grabs for 5 months. Take each game as it comes and enjoy it.

It's very cheap of MP Dayasiri Jayasekara to insult MP Sugath Silva about his visual impairment. "ඌ දැකලත් නෑ අපිව. අඳුරන්නෙත් නෑ අපිව. ඌත් බන්නවා 76 සාපෙ කියල" Dayasiri said so in a rally. I get political criticism, but dragging disability into it is a bad practice.
