Having seen God work in the lives of many, it is somewhat more common to see a progression of improvement rather than for people to become completely sanctified overnight. I trust the Lord and am encouraged by the direction the leaders are moving.

Trials come from the sin of others or from living in a broken world. Their statement indicates they know that they are experiencing God's discipline (reflection, etc.). It doesn't mean that some aren't experiencing a trial.
