@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas A perfect example of what I was talking about. We need like 10 different poundlands heavily supported by the government to give people a chance at lower bills and drive other big business to reduce their profits margins and be okay with a little bit of profit
@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas How much billions do you think the government would have to spend on those new welfare claims due to Poundland closing and pushing more people towards more expensive alternatives? Iโm sure it would be more than 50 billion
@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas lol. Your inability to understand second order effects is the problem with the uk ๐ฌ๐ง.
Poundland customers was poor and middle-income families, when they get pushed to high end shops they have to pay more or rely on welfare to maintain their daily living.
@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas No, they serve global audiences too.
Stop defending capital and fight for institutions that make nations great and benefit the whole country rather than a few.
Are you not ashamed that Poundland, one of the shop for every day regular poor people is no more?
@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas Yeah sure, China ๐จ๐ณ have the top 4 biggest banks in the world, employ x10 more than each bank in the uk ๐ฌ๐ง, perform all these listed roles and still produce huge returns to the government and country and still expanding with no sign of job loss or closing down
@PhilipEdwaahzj@meadwaj@CarolineLucas Giving out loans is world class industry? Zero innovation, I remember the years when Britain was the headquarters of innovation and exporting goods and technology now we lick the boots of banks that gives predatory mortgages loans and help launder money
@teeveyteeve@curtisdaly_ There can only be less reinvesting when that is only left to the private sector. Funny how we donโt have huge reinvesting in the uk with higher levels of private sector profits. All we have is higher energy prices and housing while the opposite is in China .
@teeveyteeve@curtisdaly_ I wonder why these less reinvesting doesnโt happen in China where the government force them to compete among each other for the lowest price and their profit margin keeps on decreasing.
You all focus on ripping your home base and jacking up prices, reason why you canโt export
@Carlami25552231@KobeissiLetter Picking on Indian alone when they employ different people from all over the world and sponsor them to their headquarter country. The sponsor workers from Europe, Latin America etc. why then do you have to point out India specifically
@Carlami25552231@KobeissiLetter Racist like you are the dirt of the this world. They have workers in so many countries including uk and Canada but the India ๐ฎ๐ณ workers is where your issues lies in
@NunoTonelo65@RnaudBertrand Well, you can plot a chart ๐ that shows someone networth going up from 19B to 70B and another chart showing the middle class halving within the same timeframe
@NunoTonelo65@RnaudBertrand The problem would have to be operating a true capitalist society without the existence of lobbyists or lobbying groups. Mass public construction of homes with public infrastructure close to those homes. Because you need the indigenous people to create a replacement population
@gear_web@RnaudBertrand Definitely not, but more join them every day and some do die. But it all a situation of more older people and less able workers to fund the older people
@ManuelWeber23@RnaudBertrand Maybe if you didnโt give them visa, asylum or refugee and you were able to replace your dying population. All these could have been avoided
@NunoTonelo65@RnaudBertrand The right wing would just cut public services for everyone and only those rich enough can afford daily living. So something eventually gets pursued.
@gear_web@RnaudBertrand They are first old and need someone else to take care of them. Occupy houses with multiple rooms and only utilise one of the rooms. Takes up space and time in the hospital and still takes welfare from the tax pot. So they do consume a lot from the state finances
