Any journalists in NYC gonna cover the insane gaslighting and lying from politicians trying to claim people attacked a jewish neighborhood last night when in fact a mob of fascist zionists showed up to assault and harass people for protesting an illegal Israeli land sale event?
Extremely interesting proposal by Wang Yi in his speech that I haven't seen anyone talk about yet: he proposed to merge the Belt and Road Initiative with Europe's own version of it.
That's the quote: "China is willing to synergize high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy, so as to empower each other and empower the entire world."
Europe should really consider it. Unbeknownst to most, China made the same proposal to the US at the start of the BRI (which goes to show it wasn't done in the spirit of undermining the US as many claim) and the US flatly rejected the offer. Later, John Kerry (Secretary of State at the time) said this was one of the biggest mistakes of his career. Maybe Europe should not make the same mistake...
As Yoav Gallant has confirmed, the deal that freed today’s hostages has been on the table since May but for political reasons the Israeli government refused it. Every day the hostages spent in confinement since then was the avoidable and tragic result of those calculations.
