It only takes five minutes to break the cycle.
Five minutes of exercise and you are back on the path. Five minutes of writing and the manuscript is moving forward again. Five minutes of conversation and the relationship is restored.
It doesn't take much to feel good again.
You don't become what you think. You don't become what you talk about. You don't become what you dream about. You become what you do. Make a practice of the things you care about. Your actions are the ground upon which you stand.
Practice means approaching an endeavor deliberately, with care, and with the intention to continually grow.
Anything can become a practice.
When it does, it shifts from being something you are doing at a point in time to an ongoing process of becoming.

People sometimes ask me, "Are there *any* stadiums that you do like?" to cast me as a reflexive contrarian. There answer is no, just like if you asked a doctor, "Are any cigarettes good for you?" Stadiums don't generate economic development, thus subsidizing them is bad policy.
Start where you are. Be intentional. Be patient. Be real. Be in community.

At this point, I recommend rejecting all political claims based on "economic impact" as politicians don't care or know what this even means. It's embarrassing.
