Who comes to mind: Crimson Spring and God of Small Things?
Apologies for the late updates. We had an overwhelming turnout/reception across the 12 days of the exhibition.
A short visual thread of how the positive, hopeful and ordinary stories of Lamka town and the resilience of its people travelled far and wide.

What defines us? It's the everyday items we hold dear! Um leh bel (pots & pans), khuang (drums), puan (clothes) & more. Step into the nostalgic world of Lengkhawm: Lamka Remembered, a powerful exhibition by @ThisIsLamka weaving together the everyday items that define its people.
Super impressed at the contemporary art exhibition showcasing the history, culture, and creativity of Lamka, a town in Manipur’s Churachandpur district. Featuring local young artists, designers & writers, it made me nostalgic - I worked there 34 years ago as a young IAS officer.

At Rajpath when the then President of India, Giani Zail Singh interacted with the special invitees, she presented a traditional shawl to express her gratitude.

People from the town were no strangers to Delhi in attending #RepublicDay parades. They would occasionally get invited & walked down Rajpath to expose our culture.

Give a read on my conversation with @AnoubaMeerol on preserving social history & material culture.
Here, I argue the urgent need to preserve photographs & create a digital repository while explaining our recent work on @ThisIsLamka.
