Been wanting to write this for sometime…
Watched #Jananayagan 3 times in the US with my 7yr old son. I never expected a scene to open up such a powerful conversation.
After the Good Touch Bad Touch scene, the questions started pouring in…
What if X uncle touches me here?
What if that Y friend does this?
What if this aunty touches there?
And then came the question that stayed with me…
“Amma, what if you touch me here, when you shower me?”
That’s when I realised the beauty of what was created. A topic many parents struggle to explain, a conversation children often find uncomfortable, was made so simple, so relatable, and so natural.
When a person of Thalapathy Vijay’s stature delivers a message like this, it doesn’t stop with just his fans, it reaches homes, hearts, and children.
Thank you for making an important conversation easier for parents and safer for children❤️ @Jagadishbliss@KvnProductions@actorvijay@RamVJ2412 #hvinodh
@ItsSundarVJ@itisprashanth@Devanayagam TN has been against NEET for several years. Nothing wrong in celebrating a big star's finale as well as protesting. How about those watching Odyssey? Why not call them out for watching some foreign movie directed by a guy from a former colonizer country? Enough selective hate
@CinemaWithAB A way more violent and intense Leo passed with UA certificate, while a less intense Jana Nayagan and even Coolie get A certified? The censor board needs a big reform or abolishment.
@CineKingsley@actorvijay I'm very sure MGR fans back in the day saw Rajini the same way. When handsome, teetotaler, morally superior heroes were the standard, what would they think of this dark hero, smoking, drinking and playing morally grey characters onscreen? And Im saying this as a RK-VJ mutual fan
@ItsSundarVJ@CinemaWithAB@actorvijay It's a lose-lose situation for him either way, as you proved it. It's up to his fans and the general audience to choose not to watch it. Would Vijay tweeting actually stop people from illegally downloading and watching?
@jerinGeorgekut2 Last minute planning and release announcement, plus minimal online marketing never work. Tamil film producers should realize that asap
@AndhraBoxOffice Yes, it was futile. CBFC won & the movie will suffer with who knows how much butchering? Thankfully I'm overseas, so the version we watch will most likely not carry these cuts. And if this happens to a movie with a top star like Vijay, what about small movies?
@CineTimeCanada@ahii_ahi Cinestarz theatres briefly listed the movie with a 9:30pm show on the 8th, now it's gone while Rajasaab poster is still there. Similar thing happened during OG release...
@Positivejokes Very true! ... except for the fact she doesn't take no for an answer, and she's very classist / casteist. Atha mattum maathittaa I'd take Neelambari too! 😋
