Macalester mourns the loss of @KofiAnnan, Founding Chair of the @KofiAnnanFdn, the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations, winner of the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize, and member of the Macalester class of 1961.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of our @macalestercollege ancestor, Kofi Annan. He was a great son of Ghana and citizen of the world who truly embodied the our college's mission of global citizenship and inspired us deeply. Thank you, Sir. Rest well.
