@ChazMakes Start with designing an actually good 3d printer then start the company. Everyone else started the other way around so it might be worth a shot.
@ViagraPussy It's not like the movies. The vial on a sprinkler has to get got enough that it would cause you third degree burns. Something's on fire enough to have you running out the door by then.
@ViagraPussy That became a thing in the last 20 years or so. I forget what the national code behind it is but I think all multifamily units and single family over a certain square footage now requires it anywhere that's been adopted. The fun thing is out sprinklers is the water damage but
@CalebChamberla6@repkord@awmayhall@3DGloop But what about the forklifts with the controls on the fork side. Don't you have to ride at least a pallet of not the forks? Always seemed like a weird alternative to a picker lol
@devmobnow@JoshMurrah@CanuckCreator@McMasterDaily The AO was a direct descendant of the Mendel Max. The Workhorse is probably the first Taz that isn't a wobbly framed mess. I just took apart several 6s and every one of the corner brackets was bent. Before those were metal it was acrylic and before that printed lol.
@ViagraPussy As far as code compliance goes, 1 is as much as 2 or 3 or 4 is. Almost none are compliant. Lulzbot, Ultimaker, I think Prusa now has 1 or 2. We got a little worried for 3D Printopia in Philly because all equipment has to be UL whatever listed. Turns out that didnt apply for us.
@cgallaty That's the whole point that this was a non issue. USB extension cables are not spec. They provided one meant for the keyboard but only usable with it. That gave them control of the situation instead of leaving it up to customers to complain about their own actions.
@repkord@jakkuh_t@Prusa3D The manual was great but reassembling my MK3 made me question why on earth I would ever want to build printers. Later on for contrast I built a Voron Legacy which has no instructions and it was the easiest build I've ever done. Experiences are weird...
@elianarose66 I would never cancel Comcast anywhere but in person. Not worth the risk. Hand them the equipment directly and file the paperwork in a fireproof safe inside of another fireproof safe for the next 100 years. They'll randomly decide you didn't return your equipment otherwise lol
@repkord@AzzyDesignWorks@PrusaSlicer Yeah but I don't see them doing changelogs like
3.0.1 Updated Bambu Compatibility
3.0.2 Updated Bambu Compatibility
3.0.3 Updated Bambu Compatibility
Unless Bambu goes back to the old way of sending prints this is basically what it looks like with FlashForge these days.
@AzzyDesignWorks@repkord The way things stand at the moment I doubt Prusa is going to waste time implementing a feature that's only going to work for a short period of time. They'll change something. Like FlashForge needing slicer updates to match firmware updates.
@comingconflict@geerlingguy@3DInPhil@BambulabGlobal@conservancy Fun story, as massive a deal as printing regulation is, as much as it threatens to ruin what I do. This is much bigger. It just happens to involve a 3D printing company this time. There is no take care of one then the other either you have to pay attention to everything at once.
