This would make sense to me if the call was made from the team left at UVU (not everyone was in the SUV), or once they got to the hospital. Not during a 8min drive where 1 was driving, the other one was navigating directions on his phone, the two at the back were rendering first aid and Frank was praying. This is according to their own statements. If you knew you had 8min to keep your spouse alive before help would arrive, would you waste that time updating your family? No.
