Sept is #SuicidePreventionMonth & our psychiatric nurse was able to raise awareness about suicide on Radio Wang Ooh this week. He took part in a program discussing the different forms of suicide & risk factors associated with suicide #mentalhealthmatters
The BNUU team recently concluded a training session for Village Health Teams (VHTs).
The aim of this session was to build VHTs' capacity, and support them to:
*identify clients with different mental health conditions; and
*Make appropriate referrals.
The BNUU team has recently distributed income-generating activity (IGA) items to 231 self-help group members in Agago district, thanks to a one-year grant from a new Foundation and the support of #Network4Africa.
BNUU and #Network4Africa recently held a community engagement meeting with self-help group members in northern #Uganda.
They shared their stories & gratitude for the support of income-generating activity (IGA) items they received which increased their recovery & household income
