@sivaraman_mvs Honestly for a shorter trilogy go with the prince of nothing series. Fantastic world building with an entirely new style of magic by R. Scott Bakker.
If not that Brent Weeks has done wonderful series and is an awesome storyteller. Figured I'd throw a few options out
