When did we start normalizing ridiculous behavior just because criticizing it might offend someone?

Watch Erika Ishii’s interviews it’s not just this one clip. She constantly turns every reaction into an over the top performance to attract as much attention as possible. Some people can pull that off naturally. Others just make it painfully cringe and Erika falls firmly into the second category.

And no, this has absolutely nothing to do with her sexuality. I couldn’t care less who she dates, she could be in a relationship with a car I don’t care. This is about her behavior.

It honestly feels like nobody in her life has ever looked her in the eyes and said: „Enough. Sit down. You’re embarrassing yourself and everyone around you. Just sit down.”

And spare me the „You don’t know her personally” argument. Of course I don’t know her and honestly, I don’t want to. I can only judge her by the way she repeatedly chooses to present herself in public. She is a public figure and public behavior is open to public criticism.

My point is simple - stop rewarding people with attention and platforms just because they behave in the loudest and weirdest way possible. People like Rachel Zegler and Erika Ishii may unfortunately have to learn that lesson the hard way.
