@gregogallagher I used to think I couldn't do both, but then just started testing the waters and realized it seems to be working fine for me. But at the same time I am dialed with my nutrition and sleep. Obviously theres a limit somewhere, but the running (mostly trails) to me is just fun.

Lift 3-4x/wk and run 3-4x/wk. Also walk about an hour a day.
Ramp the milage up for a month or 2 in prep for a big "race" then back to a baseline for fun.
I track all my lifts and have been able to increase weight/reps during ultra training.
