Design is no longer just surface work. It’s about shaping the #algorithmic systems that shape us. #algorythmicdesign#ux#productexperience

Watching videos of the past narratives of #data and #bigata and which big promises they made and non of the #impact they could not deliver and the risks which they ignored. Similar to data which now is stored in tremendous amount, fueling the new narrative. Will #Ai be different?
»[...]boundary objects are envisioned as inclusive and shared spaces, either physical or virtual, that are activated through interactions. These interactions may be enabled by individuals or communities [...]« #design#interaction

»[...] As AI drives the cost of creating “content” to zero, the value of trusted relationships will skyrocket. [...]« besides the the tailoring to their own product in this message, there is an interesting thought here. #Trust and trustworthiness become the new currency. @chrisbest
The situation around #openai and their ceo shows clearly that the original mission to »benefits all of humanity« is now completely replaced by a standard startup mechanism and people who run these systems. https://t.co/7jGEBd7buZ
»You are not hiring based on experience alone. You are hiring for the positive influence that an individual can bring an alternative point of view or just because they will ask, 'why?' of all levels.« Could not agree more. #hiringdesign
Looking forward to the @hatchconference for listening to incredible colleagues from different backgrounds, but also to my class "Data Strategy to Action" in which we will explore approaches for ethical use of data of people to benefit your business. Sounds great? Join us!
How to create an algorithmic system people can #trust? Working on my version 1.1 of my new framework to help teams create better algorithmic systems. Bridging the gap of abstract discussions to implementation. What are you missing for your day-to-day work? #algorithm#UX#product
When you see a pattern emerging again and again. The same people which build the systems (#Facebook, #Instagram) we have to deal with are now being brought in to form new tech (#ai) which also will have broader effect on people. https://t.co/HbSj8IHN9J #schade
One of the reasons, why we have to keep pushing for designing better #algorythmic#systems train and diversify teams for inclusion. It's not a matter of good will, it's part of your business success. #ai#ux#microsoft@linkedin
As designers, we should plan and build for a wide range of social contexts, instead of just thinking about the intended use of a system. #design#systems#product#ux
Excited about the acceptance of my @hciinews tutorial on trustworthy algorithmic systems! Looking forward to meeting at HCI International 2023 in Copenhagen this week. If you're attending the conference, let's connect, or you can reserve a spot in the tutorial.
