We have heard this for months. Quantum's analytics suggests something which we posed to our customers.
Is the USDA:
1) Lying on 2025 Corn Production
2) Totally Clueless
3) Understaffed
3) Both 1, 2, and 3
4) Neither 1, 2, or 3
5) No Opinion
@Bkitch1Bodie@pete_90210 There was never enough nitrogen to raise a crop if we calculated what we thought was in plant and then left in soil. In June, green knee high corn showed only 20-60 lb of nitrogen left, but never ran out until late grain fill. Lost a lot of confidence in it.
@Bkitch1Bodie@pete_90210 Had organic field tested for organic nitrogen this spring and through summer. Very erratic organic nitrogen levels and couldn’t have been accurate
Do you ever wonder what corn and soybean price would be without the @USDA Imagine the boom of ag tech that would developing meaningful tech to tell real time yields, supplies, sales, etc. Which would actually help farmers manage risk with timely information. #WASDE@DOGE_USDA
