Got to give @BaseballUGA Coach Wes Johnson ALL the credit for managing the pitching staff the way he has in #CWS.

Like Kyle Peterson said on the air, he’s never seen a 2-1 team in elimination situation in better pitching position than the #Dawgs going into tonight’s game vs Sooners and hopefully another one on Thursday.

Wes is a master at ALWAYS putting his players (hitters & pitchers) in the best opportunity to succeed. He always does his homework. He is always prepared. You see him sitting in the dugout with what appears to be a “conductors stand” in front of him. How appropriate. He’s orchestrating a virtuoso performance.

I talk to coaches before every game. I maybe get to squeeze out a few minutes from Wes. He’s always busy with last minute preparations before every game. No time to stand around and chat. Get to the point. Get to the question.

No coincidence #Bulldogs have school record 53 wins….and counting!
