The strange, multilayered story of one guy who works in a used bookstore and, in his off hours, writes twelve different blogs. On WordPress. Book in progress.
B.L. Oger
(and yes, that's his real name)
(well, y'know, "real")
(given that it's a work of fiction, ha ha)
is the narrator & Blogger in Three Blog Night.
He works by day in a used bookstore, and in his spare time writes 12 blogs.
You've NEVER.
No, seriously. You never have.
I have been in the bed for 48 hours. No work, no people, just me and my flu and nonstop murder shows.
Any cold case detectives out there that need a consultant, I’m ready.
If it was YOU running twelve blogs simultaneously, would you take deliberate steps to create a social life amid the chaos of blogging? This, you see, is B.L. Oger's dilemma. How important *is* a social life, anyway? After all, he's got thousands of people reading his blogs...
The problem with B.L. Oger--if you want to call it a problem--is a kind of disordered ambition. He's running twelve blogs all at the same time and keeping them stocked with original content. Which leaves no time for a life. Well, depending what you mean by the word 'life'.
Apparently on the set of Downton Abbey, Maggie Smith would hold up her cane when someone approached her and said, "That's close enough," and where can I get a cane?
Fiancé: you can’t know if you said the right thing or the wrong thing.
Me: I KNOW! that’s why it’s impossible to talk to anyone about anything all the time ever.
Does B.L. Oger know anything you don't? Sure.
He knows the value of a dollar. In 1879. Looked it up last week.
He knows when to speak, and when to remain silent. A hard-won achievement. He's got a few scars.
Finally, he knows 12 different blogs' worth of general stuff.
Whoah.
