Glad this documentary was made, though I’m sure BBC edited out the most horrific parts to allow this to air. The problem with this project & many like it is they rely on the premise of fanatical West Bank settlers being different from normal, cool, peace-loving tel aviv settlers.

"The Israelis have been debating the plan... moving the bulk of the Palestinians [in Gaza] to the ... Sinai Peninsula. The problem is that the people of Gaza don't want to go."
The Financial Times did not mention Vietnam, only Philippines & those islands that they previously stole from Vietnam.

🇻🇳 50 years of National Reunification 🌟 April 30, 1975
At about 10.45am on April 30, 1975, the tanks of the liberation forces broke through the gates of the Presidential Office of the Sài Gòn regime (now the Independence Palace).
Today marks 45 years of the liberation of Phnom Penh, where the Vietnamese forces topples the Khmer rouge, one of the most brutal genocidal regime in history and rescued million of Cambodia out of the suffering.
Việt Nam demands that China immediately release Vietnamese fishing vessels and fishermen that were illegally detained, provide sufficient compensation for any damage, and immediately cease the harassment of Vietnamese fishing vessels and fishermen

It's astounding how little you know.
Before Vietnam acted, the Khmer Rouge under Pol Pot were crossing the border, butchering innocent Vietnamese civilians—men, women, and children—and committing such ignominious atrocities that Vietnam was forced to act in self-defense.
Hun Sen, a former Khmer Rouge commander who later led Cambodia for decades, fled that madness and sought Vietnam’s help before any "invasion" occurred.
These weren’t "secrets"—they were desperate cries for help while villages were turning into killing fields.
For us, it wasn't just about saving Cambodians from genocide—though saving millions from one of the worst atrocities in history was certainly part of it—it was about defending our own people from a fascist regime spilling across our borders.
Do you honestly believe Vietnam wanted to annex Cambodia while the Khmer Rouge were massacring people at its doorstep?
When has Vietnam, a country that fought for its independence from colonialism, ever shown expansionist ambitions?
The Khmer Rouge’s atrocities were not a secret, just ignored by fools like you, content to turn a blind eye.
Hun Sen and countless Cambodians wanted our help, and after the Khmer Rouge were overthrown, we withdrew. No annexation, no imperialism.
Your theory about Vietnam’s ambitions for an "Indochina Federation" is nothing more than outdated paranoia, regurgitated from Western and Chinese ultras propaganda.
Instead of facing the facts, you cling to delusions fed by Cold War fantasies.
You couldn’t even grasp why Vietnam had conflicts along the Thai-Cambodian border—it was the fallout from Khmer Rouge forces hiding out and launching attacks from there.
Your attempt to compare this with Hitler and the Jews is laughable.
The world didn’t know about the concentration camps in WWII, but Vietnam knew exactly what the Khmer Rouge were doing because it was happening to our own people.
When someone comes to your door with blood on their hands, you don’t wait for the "world" to give you permission to act.
Hun Sen and the Cambodian people didn’t see Vietnam as invaders—they saw us as liberators who ended the Khmer Rouge nightmare.
And while you’re busy parroting the old, tired rhetoric of Vietnamese expansionism, the reality is clear: Vietnam had no interest in annexing Cambodia.
That’s just a narrative your uneducated mind clings to.
The "Indochina Federation" you mention is a fantasy concocted by fearmongers.
Vietnam’s withdrawal from Cambodia in 1989 proves this. We didn’t stay, we didn’t annex, and we certainly didn’t indulge in your fabricated imperial dreams.
The Vietnamese knew about the massacres because our people were being killed. Period.
The world may have had the luxury of ignorance, but we didn’t.
You’re stuck repeating lies long discredited. The more you cling to them, the more you expose your own ignorance.

Our CPV general secrectary, the true communist who spend his whole life serving the people, passed away today at 13pm Hanoi time. “At the end, only dignity is the most precious thing - NPT”. This is a great loss to the Party, the State and Vietnamese people.

The report by South Africa is astonishing in its scope and detail. It contains a litany of atrocities but these 7 pages on intent show the widespread depravity of zionism. The Prime Minister, President, 7 Ministers, and 5 senior military figures. And these just public statements
