Official Account of Thurso Community Fire Station, North Service Delivery Area of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. To report an emergency dial 999 ๐๐
Super busy day yesterday at our Open Day, lots of games, stalls & emergency vehicles in attendance, 10 x crew carried out a 1hr 47 min (interrupted by a shout ๐) non stop ladder climb, scaling a massive 1623.7 metres(130 x 13.5m ladder), thatโs one every 49 seconds on average๐ช
Weโre still here !! itโs been so busy in the Station with shouts, community events and activities weโve not been updating, poor excuse we know, but weโll soon get all our shouts and business updated, in the meantime, delighted to announce weโre hosting our Open Day tomorrow.
Visit to the Station for the pupils from Melvich Primary, races to get kit on, tour around the pumps, using the hose-reels, operating the lights & sirens & learning key safety messages, lots of laughter and fun๐ ๐ we never underestimate the positive impact we have on our youth.
The types of incidents SFRS attends is changing
