🚨💣 BREAKING: Sir Alex Ferguson speaks on Manchester City guilty of 114 of their 115 Premier League FFP charges:

🗣️Sir Alex:

“I called them the noisy neighbours, didn’t I? There was always something about the way it was all being built that didn’t sit right with me. Now we’re hearing 114 guilty findings out of 115 charges. If those findings stand, that’s an embarrassment for English football and for the Premier League.”

“When the Abu Dhabi takeover happened in 2008, my concern was what that amount of money, without proper scrutiny, could do to the competition. Investment is one thing. Allowing a club to believe it’s above the rules is another. The authorities have a responsibility to make sure ambition never becomes an excuse for corruption.”

“If City cheated their way to the top, they must face the consequences. Proper consequences. You cannot let a club benefit from breaking the rules and then treat the punishment as another expense it can comfortably afford. That makes a mockery of every club trying to compete honestly.”

“I’ve spent my life in football. I’ve seen what this game means to people. Supporters work all week and spend their money believing they’re watching a fair contest. They deserve that honesty. We cannot allow corruption to ruin the beautiful game. No amount of money, no collection of trophies, puts Manchester City or anybody else above it….”

Crazy to think that 10 years later, he’d end up playing under Carrick. Football timelines make absolutely no sense 😭 https://t.co/umzgmQSMeJ

Madame Celeste Amarilla,

As a World Cup host, the U.S. shouldn't be flippantly barring officials from entering the country to do their jobs.

It's terribly backward.

It's also counterproductive.

Global sports competitions should improve international exchange and relations, not the reverse.

The Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan, selected by @FIFAWorldCup and distinguished by CAF as the best African referee of 2025, was rejected upon arriving in the United States at Miami airport and deported back to Istanbul.

This World Cup is the worst.

🚨🎙️Pep Guardiola on Sir Alex Ferguson’s legacy in English football:

“This is not me being modest or trying to show respect because of his age. I genuinely believe Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager in the history of English football.

What he built at Manchester United over so many years is something modern football may never see again. Winning once is difficult. Winning across different generations, different eras, different styles of football — that is greatness on another level.

People speak about tactics a lot today, but Sir Alex had something even more powerful: control of an entire football culture. He knew when to rebuild, when to change players, when to be demanding and when to protect his team. That balance is very rare.

And honestly, the Premier League I entered was already shaped by his mentality. Every big club in England still carries some influence from the standards he created at Manchester United.

For me, trophies matter, but longevity at the top is what truly defines greatness. That is why Sir Alex will always be number one in England.”

🚨 Michael Carrick on fielding a strong team vs Brighton:

🗣️ Reporter:
“There’s nothing left to play for. A lot of people were surprised by such a strong lineup.”

🗣️ Carrick:
“And that mentality right there is exactly why some clubs never become elite. What do you mean there’s nothing to play for?

This is Manchester United. Since when did we start celebrating third place like it’s a trophy? If I can score 10 against Brighton, I will. Happily.
Not because I hate them… but because we don’t relax here.

Even at 3-0, you go for the fourth. Then the fifth. Then the sixth. We’ve picked up the most points in the league since I took charge… and I don’t plan on dropping that standard. Next season, people will understand what we’re building.”

[Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano]

🚨 Antoine Griezmann: “Please forgive me. I was young and I made a mistake to join Barcelona”.

“I did not understand the love I had here. I recognized my mistake, and did everything to come back and enjoy here”.

“I didn’t win La Liga or the UCL, but your love is what matters”.

“I want to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar...He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth…The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist at a level I don't think this country has ever seen”

🎙️ Mourinho on Pep vs Fergie:

“Why this question?

Pep worked with top players at Barcelona, Bayern, City.

Alex Ferguson built everything. From nothing. From East Stirlingshire to United. Still managed his country.

I wanted to succeed him. He chose someone else. It hurt. But the respect stays.

People talk about Pep. I faced him. I know the teams he had.

I know what Sir Alex built. Players who were not stars became warriors.

For me… it’s simple.”
