I truly believe this guy is in, like, the bottom tier of intelligence among human beings. like that's an astronomical idiot talking. I don't even think I *know* anyone who is this stupid. he is living proof that making money does not make you smart or interesting.
Mehdi Hasan: “They want us to believe that when Barack Obama was president, Donald Trump won fair and square. When Joe Biden was president, Donald Trump won fair and square. But when Donald Trump was president, he was robbed by the Deep State. That’s what they want us to believe. The dumbest people in the world”
I'll tell you why people despise Elon:
It's because he punches DOWN.
He's the wealthiest man on the planet, he has a quarter billion Twitter followers (mostly botted, for sure), and he uses his immense power and influence to punch down.
He deprived poor kids around the world of food, resulting in thousands of deaths. He hired a bunch of snot-nosed kids who cut and slashed and didn't have a clue what they were doing, f*cked shit up, and have not an ounce of remorse for what they did.
He stirs up alarmist racial animus -- he loves to post videos of Black and White people fighting, trying to frame it as a race war that's happening now. It's not.
He claims he's not racist because he f*cks a woman of color. Racists LOVE to lean on that bullshit.
You know who else f*cked women of color?
SLAVE OWNERS. You think THEY weren't racist?
And you know what? He and his family lived a privileged life as white South Africans under apartheid. Look it up.
If I had Elon's wealth, I would have already solved world hunger, and had more money left over than my great grandkids could spend in 20 lifetimes.
I would be a damn HERO. I'd solve homelessness too.
But that thin-skinned jackass used his wealth to basically curate the world's largest echo chamber to feed his goddamn ego with his groveling, soulless Muskite fans. He's trump with way more money and a slightly larger vocabulary.
This woman did a GREAT job interviewing Elon. She skewered him, triggered the hell out of Mr. Moneybags. The guy who "doesn't care," he did the old "No, YOU are" arguing method. Real mature.
He couldn't stand that this woman, who he looked at as beneath him, had the audacity not to quiver and bow to his pseudo "greatness."
He's a fucking TRILLIONAIRE whose cuts directly caused the deaths of THOUSANDS of third world children.
When I was a kid, and was about to throw away uneaten food, my Mom would say "Do you know how many kids are starving in Africa?"
As a kid, I was expected to have more empathy for starving kids in Africa THAN THE RICHEST MAN ON THE PLANET has.
He shouldn't do these interviews any more, not if he doesn't want to be completely reviled. He looks like a jackass.
And it makes NO sense: his cars, the Tesla, were meant to appeal to people like me, the Libs, the progressives, people who actually believe that climate change is a thing!
What does he do? Antagonizes the majority of us, having us look at other EVs like the Rivian or whatever.
And I don't give a shit if Space Karen sees this. He's been crushing my signal strength ever since he bought this app, despite his declaring the return of so-called "free speech."
The world's worst secret is that he's been propping up right wing accounts and throttling the rest of us.
Honestly, I saw this video earlier today, and I barely skimmed over it. I haven't normally paid much attention to what he does. I don't follow him on Twitter, and didn't even care about his interview.
But what struck me was how smug and entitled he was in the interview, like he couldn't believe she was talking to him like that. And then I remembered how all those kids died because of him.
Anyway, THIS is how you interview power: be fearless, unafraid, come prepared with facts, push them all the way back. Elon looked like he wanted to jump out of his chair and hit that woman.
BRAVO to her.
We need more journalists like her.
And f*ck the Epstein class.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Thursday that Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-KY) five-week absence from Congress and lack of response to Gov. Andy Beshear's (D-KY) request for an update on his health "conveys a very disturbing inability to fulfill his duties."
"I understand that people have a right to medical privacy to deal with their issues, but we do not have the right to disappear from our jobs without explanation," she said. "I don't think any American has ever experienced the ability to just leave your job for over a month with no explanation to your employer."
You couldn’t make shit like this up in the Netflix writers’ room.
Just insane almost unbelievable dialogue from the so-called leader of the free world.
Pete Buttigieg: “The outrageous news that we just got with the Trump administration removed the names of four of our service members who were killed in action, apparently because the fact that they were killed in action goes against his fiction that sometimes he says we are actually not in a war, even though everybody knows we are. What I would say to him is when I was in uniform, when I was deployed, I knew that on some level my life depended on the credibility of the people running our government…American lives depend on him telling the truth even when it's hard.”
Phillip: Why announce a deal yesterday and then change it the next day?
Sands: Art of the deal.
Phillip: What is the art of the deal? You announce a deal, then you renege on it in 24 hours?
Sands: In the Middle East, after you sign the deal, the negotiations start.
Phillip: When we say that we've signed a deal to allow nuclear development in another country, and that deal is signed and there's a press conference and that whole thing that's that's not the start of negotiations. We've already put out the terms.
Jessica: California prosecutors working for Gavin Newsom, busted a hospice fraud wearing, $267 million in fraud, they were doing that without the administration. California submitted a 60 page integrity action plan to the federal government and has gotten no response.
Watters: That’s not true.
Jessica: Yes it is true. Here are three facts that you cannot refute. Newsom signed a hospice licensing moratorium in 2021. The Trump administration replicated it in 2026. The Trump administration even praised Newsom's crackdown on EBT fraud. They had an 80% drop. And then there is the elephant in the room, which is that Donald Trump has either commuted the sentences of or pardoned people who have defrauded American people through the medicare and medicaid system to the tune of almost $2 billion. So they want us to take RFK JR or Donald Trump seriously when they talk about fraud and they are pardoning the fraudsters themselves. That reeks to me.
Reporter: Isn’t there concern that this slippery slope to socialism inevitably ends up as full-blown communism?
AOC: I mean, no. I think that’s very silly. We can’t even raise the minimum wage. Do they really think communism is going to happen? No. They’re trying to scare people because they don’t want us talking about the fact that we all have a right to health care.
So they want to call everything they don’t like communist because if people actually wake up to the fact that their elected officials are screwing them over when they get here, they’re going to realize they deserve better and that health care as a right isn’t crazy. They want to call this stuff communist because they don’t want us to realize that the rest of the developed world has guaranteed health care. They want to call it communist because they don’t want you to know that Germany, Italy, the UK, Canada—everybody else—has it better than us, and we spend the most money for the worst care in the developed world.
GALLEGO: Would you say as a former auditor you pride yourself on catching waste?
DENNIS: Yes
GALLEGO: Let's do a test. Would you say $600m on a ballroom, half paid by taxpayers, is a good fiscal decision?
DENNIS: Oh, I'm not going to get involved in what the White House is doing
GALLEGO: As HUD CFO, this is literally the job
Ossoff: "On day 14 of this conflict, nearly 5 months ago, you stated that Iran's military had been 'destroyed' and made 'combat ineffective.' Was that an accurate statement?"
Hegseth: "As far as a military assessment of Iran's capabilities, it didn't mean by any stretch of the imagination absolute zero, but their capabilities are at the lowest level they've been in a very long time."
Ossoff: "On day 14 of this conflict, in the second week of the conflict, you stated that Iran's military had been 'destroyed' and made 'combat ineffective.' Was that an accurate statement?"
Hegseth: "Iran's ability to challenge the U.S. at the level we're capable of-"
Ossoff: "That's not what I asked."
*Trump defunds NPR, Voice of America, USAGM, has the FBI raid a WAPO reporter, sues broadcasters and threatens journalists over sourcing.
MAGA Congresswoman: the socialists are going to get rid of the media.
