@Headteacherchat The (5-form junior) school I have just joined has Y3&5 break at 11:30-12:25 and then Y4&6 from 12:30-13:25.
Runs seamlessly and also the lunch team stay the same or are school LSAs so same expectations, no exceptions. Must have taken a while to embed the routine but it works!
Good morning #edutwitter I hope you’re enjoying the hols.
I start a new role in a large 5-form junior school (with some challenging behaviour) after Easter as an SEN teacher. Any recommendations on who to follow for tips/advice/resources etc. Thanks in advance. #SEN#SEMH#SEND
I’d love to do these journals with my children. Any businesses out there willing to sponsor £60 so I can get them (or even £180 for our whole phase!)? Bit cheeky! But hey, if you don’t ask you don’t get! Please repost! 😊😊
Hi #edutwitter We had Ofsted this week and were about about whether we have “daily collective worship” as a whole school. Honestly, we’re lucky that we have two assemblies a week. Does anyone manage it daily? We were quoted the education act that it should be happening. TIA
@Headteacherchat Surely your current school would have expected you to visit before you applied? What about any handover meetings or ‘meet the teacher’ days.
Luckily, just this week my head has allowed me to visit a school (despite cover being tight). Shame not all schools are the same.
@YourSouthend Holiday Inn offer a drive-thru in their car park for free. (I say offer - I assume it’s meant to be for guests but it’s automatic barriers in and out for free within a few minutes)
