Lil Tjay is reportedly being sued by a police officer who claims he suffered permanent spinal injuries during an altercation with the rapper and his crew at Madison Square Garden last year.

On Monday (Feb. 9), the New York Post reported that NYPD officer John Przybyszewski has filed a lawsuit against the Bronx, N.Y., rhymer. Przybyszewski was working security at the WBO World Lightweight Championship bout between Denys Berinchyk and Keyshawn Davis at The Theater in Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14, 2025. Between fights, security attempted to remove Tjay for being unruly when he spat on a security guard, leading to him being forcefully removed.

Przybyszewski claims that during the ensuing scuffle, he fell and several people fell on top of him, causing permanent spinal issues.

“This didn’t just hurt my body, it changed how I live,” Przybyszewski told The Post.

Tjay was reportedly banned from MSG due to the incident.

XXL has reached out to Lil Tjay's team for comment about the lawsuit.
