Let go of whatever you’re overthinking. It will work itself out as it should when it’s supposed to. Redirect your mental energy to what you can change now and focus on the positive in all situations. You are okay and it is all good.

People often ask how I manage to be 'happy' all the time, despite being aware and outspoken about many societal ills. Here is my 'secret':

In this life you can find infinite things to be angry at, afraid of, and worried about. Atrocities and suffering occur daily. There is no shortage of wicked things.

You can also find infinite things to be grateful for, joyful about, and encouraged by. Wonderful things happen daily and we live in the most prosperous, peaceful, and fair era in human history.

Both optimists and pessimists are 'correct' in a sense.

Those who say the world and people in it are selfish, wicked, and always have been, have a solid case and mountains of evidence.

Those who say the world is wonderful and that humans are amazing, loving, and generous, also have a solid case. There is so much undeniable goodness.

What you choose to focus on (and for how long) is up to you.

Personally, I choose the path that leads to more joy, constructive activity, and better relationships, health, and overall success.

Healing from codependency is tough because you were taught since you were a child that you’re responsible for how other people feel. So when someone’s in a bad mood or feeling off, your subconscious response is that you caused it. Or have to fix it.

Every single day trauma & addiction will try to get us to quit. They will whisper in our ear that recovery is too much work; we're just being dramatic; we're not worth the hassle; & we can't win.

Continuing our recovery one day, one MINUTE at a time, is a daily goddamn victory.

Handmade from clay, these hollow ceramic instruments are half-filled with water. The Peruvian water whistles sound like animals when filled with water or emptied and are based on ancient Incan sculptures

C-PTSD symptoms: issues regulating your emotions, feelings of unworthiness, distrust towards people and the world around you, hypervigilance, strong inner critic, chronic fear of abandonment in relationships.

How beautiful would it be if we said to people we loved: “I’m not feeling like my best self today, can you remind me of who I am?” And that person said a few reasons why they appreciate you, for you. Appreciation and connection heal us.

Sometimes existing seems like a lot to ask; and thats usually the bare minimum 😔
