@aikisteve@Aponhcet I've had Grok since the start of the year, and It always knows exactly where I am. I can ask it for some general information about my location and it often tells me about an interesting site "just ahead on the left".It can even give turn by turn instructions
@EvEvangelist@NotAnFSDTracker@UNECE This was done earlier in the year, with a response from the UK department of transport that they are obligated to approve UNECE 171 when it is adopted in January 2027.
@daltonbrewer Me! I bought my Tesla new in 2022 with the FSD option, and more than 4 years later still have the car but have never experienced the FSD that I paid €10,000 for
@SomeUKTeslaGuy I was in a restaurant and every phone (at least 30) went off simultaneously. I immediately raised my hand and told everyone that it was just a UK government fire alert that goes off on every phone, and not to worry about it. A lot of Elderly people alone would have been scared
@ShortsLazy@Proven22x_@WilliamShatner He does indeed run it personally and types every word himself. He is a geek and this is his main hobby as well as charity forum
@Cundalinis_hand@RobGrieves It's actually dangerous for any self driving system to rigidly obey speed limits in all cases. If it is travelling significantly slower than surrounding traffic, there is a heightened collision probability
@DuaneDocs@solidasarock77@Alokkumarzz Exactly! That's why he stated that he could go further with explaining to a physics student, but there is no high level, analogous explaining. As he said, trying to do so would be deceptive
@chewyisghey@alex_avoigt@RonnyGolisch@aikisteve@aikisteve (who kindly replied above) is a recognised expert on UNECE laws and has a dedicated and highly respected YouTube channel covering this. You are mistaken. https://t.co/JGeYTZkJmB
@alex_avoigt@RonnyGolisch My understanding is that as the updated UNECE 171 (ADAS) regulation was approved at the end of June 2026 (with a 6 month gap before implementation), this was after the RDW article 39 exemption approval so qualifies as a new law, with precedence. @aikisteve is this correct?
@TechDrewX@WaitWhat Simple explanation. The road is curving to the right. The steering wheel is at less of an angle to the right so is intersecting with the wall.
@BernzOmatik@Maxarick The amazing thing is that the ship's computer was set to commence venting after a catch/landing and as it was still functional, that's exactly what it did. The venting was the cause of the controlled flames under the ship for a few minutes. It was probably completely safed.
@AndrewWoodman This was covered many times on "who wanted to be a millionaire" Many less well off people stopped at 50,000, as this was a life changing amount of money for them.
