@TheDestinAdams Just hope the season spirals into a complete train wreck. Leave every deficiency exposed. Leave no choice but for a complete house cleaning.
We are saddened by the passing of pioneering computer scientist and software engineer Margaret Hamilton. As leader of the team that developed the onboard flight software for the Apollo missions, Hamilton helped make Apollo 11’s historic journey to the Moon possible. Her team’s innovative work helped guide the mission safely to the lunar surface and forever changed the fields of computing and spaceflight.
In 2025, the Museum awarded Hamilton the Michael Collins Trophy for Lifetime Achievement to recognize her remarkable body of work: https://t.co/8wAUWcsPVG
Margaret Hamilton, a computer scientist who helped NASA land on the moon, has died. She was 90.
As a young mathematician at MIT, Hamilton was the first female programmer to work on the Apollo project in the 1960s.
She went on to lead the 100-person team that wrote software for the moon mission.
In recent years, a 1969 photograph of Hamilton standing next to the printed code for the lunar landing went viral on social media.
In 2016, President Barack Obama awarded Hamilton the Medal of Freedom, saying her work "set the foundation" for modern software engineering.
@Schultz975 I remain convinced that this is the worst case scenario... team's really not good, just good enough to beat bad teams sometimes. I'd prefer they be legit competitive or completely tank in prep for the rebuild. Anything in-between is pointless.
@Colts_Law This is why I've hoped this season goes one of two ways: 1) above expectations and highly entertaining, or 2) complete train wreck, every deficiency laid bare, everyone gets fired. Anything in-between is pointless.
@MoundLore Literally just had a case in our area of a police officer caught using Flock cameras thousands of times to track/stalk an ex-girlfriend. These incidents aren't hard to find.
