@stomababe Quite right too, although I must admit there have been many occasions that people have gone out of their way to help me! Some people just don’t get it and will always (unfortunately) remain ignorant to certain hidden issues many of us are having to live with!
@little_emmabird I have chronic fistulation caused by the remnants of a compacted pouch. It drains in several places and it causes the hospital more issues than my Crohns! I just dress it myself now, once spent 3 weeks in hospital with them trying different things but in the end solved it by
@MikeyTwotu @CrohnsColitisUK@IBDSuperHeroes I did, 24 years after my original UC diagnosis! Only following years of chronic fistulation and a failed attempt at removing my now unused j/pouch. Due to diagnosis change more treatment is now available.
@RevRichardColes Surprised they don’t have to have an accompanying freight ship to carry extra supplies around with them!! Logistics must be very complex!!
@EE Do you have lots of problems with the shocking delivery service DPD provide? Hideous service from them today and no way of contacting them for reasons why! Simply not good enough when you promised delivery today!
@EE Are you aware of the awful service @DPDUK provide!? Waited in all day for delivery of much needed package and they sent a message to say unable to deliver and hadn’t even ring my bell! I took a day off to receive it and now won’t be coming until tomorrow. Shocking service!
@DPDUK Awful service, just had message to say package wasn’t able to be delivered! Waited in all day and the driver didn’t even ring the buzzer for the flat! Shocking - needed that delivery today and had a day off to receive it! @EE are you aware of this awful service?
Up early for my first infliximab treatment at Guys this morning! Anyone got any success stories for chronic anal fistula or any pointers? @CrohnsColitisUK
@RiscaCCS_Head Yes, definitely - get some ear plugs too. Find a comfy setting in the bed and hope you don’t have too many snorers in your bay!! Listening to calming music also helped me - before I inserted the ear plugs!
@Bluebells048 A friend of mine who is 6’8” played the tuba in that band and had a rather large horse too and there was a joke he had to watch out when there was a low bridge!
@Smudge92084582 That’s a shame, guess I’m lucky in that respect! Always best to be prepared, it gives me greater confidence heading when heading out but accidents happen. Good luck with it all.
