@jasonhsv@MarcusHUSA If Trump had not gone full stupid in GA 2020
If the GAGOP actually ran a decent candidate in 2022
If Trump had endorsed McCormick in 2022
If literally any other Republican ran in AZ in 2024.
If Brian Kemp and Doug Ducey ran for Senate.
@AviWoolf@DCLongIslander You’re right. I think a major change was before 2020 the discussion seemed to be “you need to be there for your kid if they happen to be gay/bi” and turned into “the state/schools are telling your kids they are gay/trans/queer and we will try and get you fired if you disagree”
@AviWoolf@DCLongIslander And for the most part, the campaign for same-sex marriage was ultimately about “ you do you and I’ll do me”. Trans issues such as: pronouns and children is vastly different in that regard
@AviWoolf@DCLongIslander I think 99% is TQ issues being fully wrapped in to LGB issues.
The realization that many conservatives realized is that for the most part monogamous gay couples were really no different than them.
@AviWoolf Also, it’s not going to get better when Trump is gone, and Vance is the nominee. Just as the left seems to delight and turning off young men, the same goes for the Right and Young women
@AviWoolf For many clergy, they are asked to take teacher pay without the gift of state benefits, summers off, or strict work hours.
No matter ones, “calling” that reality is certainly a burden on creating new pastorsz
@JackJ1741@sunnyright Or if Trump had just endorsed McCormick in 2022
Or hadn’t ostracized guys like Ducey and Kemp, and guaranteed they never ran for Senate.
@Amb8819@CTIronman@JoshKraushaar Something we learned years ago is that Trump really doesn’t care about Congress, sure he doesn’t like being investigated or impeached, but not enough to help ensure that his part is in power
@CTIronman@JoshKraushaar Yep
Those races are effectively over, though they have been tilting that way for a while.
Due to Talerico’s…. Comments….. Paxton will prevail, but the NRSC is gonna have to spend some money there they don’t want to
