"The British people are sending us a message, we're listening, they want us to go further and faster, which is why we're rolling out breakfast clubs to workplaces, speeding up asylum approvals. and building more mosques than ever"
@derbydaniel I can't remember a home game this season when we haven't let the opposition dictate the play for the 1st 30 mins. Baffling. Get into em from the off. Put them under pressure
I’d like to thank the UK Goverment for securing the release of my uncle from the Baltimore State Hospital, whose only crime was eating a banned meat with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
@RoyalMail. Blatant racketeering, correct postage paid by sender of 3.65 yet you demand an additional 3.50. Item is 170 grams and a standard G/4 padded envelope which falls below the large letter size. Is this how you increase profits ?
@RoyalMail Bullshit, as mentioned in the original tweet package was way below weight and dimensions specified for large letter. I assume incorrect surcharges subsidise either a bonus scheme or an xmas party. Shameless racketeering on your part
Chancellor’s speech paraphrased for anyone who missed it: “Everything we did last year hasn’t worked; we promised we wouldn’t have to ask for more money but we were wrong. We will be asking for more money and NONE of this is our fault. You’re all VERY lucky we’re in charge.”
I can't tell you the level of disgust and shame I feel about the events of the last 36 hours. 👇
➡️ Two years of hate parades, given cover by many in Labour, legitimised by last week's recognition of "Palestine", all culminating in yesterday's appalling, but by now sadly foreseeable, antisemitic attack.
➡️ The usual state and much media obfuscation about the killer's origins and motives. This evening we discover he was also on bail for sexual assault. What else might we yet learn?
➡️ Last night's shameful and intimidating pro-Palestine demonstrations.
➡️ Today, a seemingly powerless Home Secretary and Met, unsupported by the London Mayor, pleading with a bunch of leftist agitators not to do the same tomorrow & next weekend.
➡️ A government so out of touch with feeling in the Jewish community that it could send the Deputy PM to say "don't let hate divide us" and expect that to be good enough. David Lammy deserved all the heckling he got this afternoon.
I never imagined that anti-semitism would ever return to Britain, still less in this virulent, dangerous form.
The weakness, appeasement, bad faith, and sheer incompetence of the British state have been on show these last two days as almost never before. We are right to be angry. Yet who is really surprised? And who is going to turn the tide?

Time is running out following @I_W_M’s decision to close the Lord Ashcroft Gallery.
