@actparty That’s nothing to be proud of. Civilised democracies all have strong public broadcasters. You should have increased funding by the same amount. And thrown in funding for a public TV channel while you were at it
@tmurphyNZ Yes. I’ve spent the past three years jumping through hoops and paying through the nose for a resource consent for exactly this purpose. Apart from my sour grapes, no downside

@dbseymour Fantastic. Policy that increases productivity and works fine for normal people , rather than policy designed to protect the worst performing 5% of workers from ever getting their feelings hurt
@LewSOS Actually it’s so they can spend more time formulating and enacting good policy, and less time campaigning and offering vote bribes (both sides)
