Thursday, a Detroit townhouse. Agents pulled a MacBook out from under bags of clothes stuffed beneath the bed. Prosecutors say it had just been dunked in water: "Droplets remained on the screen and touchpad."

The townhouse is Zainab Hakim's. She is 23, and prosecutors call her the ringleader of a federal conspiracy to terrorize University of Michigan regents, campus police and the Jewish Federation of Detroit until the school cut its ties to Israel. Glass jars of noxious chemicals thrown into family homes. Fake bloody corpses on a regent's lawn. Red inverted triangles painted on their houses, the symbol the government says Hamas uses to mark a target.

A judge let her out on bond in June over the government's objection.

Monday prosecutors asked Judge Judith Levy, who has the case, to lock her back up: "Perhaps this court believed her when she said she would comply with all her conditions. But she lied."

Twelve people are charged now. One of them, Mariam Odeh, drew two paychecks from Abdul El-Sayed's Senate campaign in March. His campaign says she was gone by mid April. El-Sayed is the Democrat on Michigan's ballot today.

Asked about this case in June, El-Sayed said: "It's a lot more about what you're advocating for that gets you indicted or not indicted, rather than what you did."

She shows proof, the message from the school says “Dear parents, effective immediately, please avoid sending name brand snacks, specialty treats, or desserts that could make other students feel excluded. Repeated violations may lead to a parent meeting with administration — non-compliant items may be confiscated. Thank you for your cooperation”

I looked it up and apparently schools in America are legally allowed to make policies like this

- 'A sentence of 60 months imprisonment, with a three-year term of supervised release, and the agreed-upon (2.25M) fine is sufficient, but not greater than necessary, to satisfy the goals of sentencing'

- 'Defendant Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm..'

- 'Over the course of 17 months, Mr. Bolton systematically exposed this nation’s most sensitive of secrets to cyber theft...'

- 'Given his decades of experience with classified information, Mr. Bolton’s actions...demonstrate aggravated, willful conduct.'

- 'And unlike many cases involving violations of 18 U.S.C. § 793, this Court does need not to speculate whether harm to national security ultimately materialized..'

KEY ARGUMENT: "Mr. Bolton’s ongoing exposure of real-time classified national defense information, by transmission over unsecure, non-governmental communications jeopardized the most sensitive information held by the United States."

MY NOTES: @HillaryClinton's unsecured personal server used for State Dept. business also contained intelligence at the highest classification levels.

Then Director @comey argued in 2016 no reasonable prosecutor would bring the case because they lacked evidence of intent.

Critics disagreed and said Clinton's purchase of the server confirmed her intent to take records outside secure government systems for sensitive and classified information.

DOJ BOTTOM LINE: "Mr. Bolton’s sentence should send the message that senior federal officials like him are not above the law; they must follow the same rules, regulations, and laws as everyone else."

The Dallas Morning News @dallasnews has added an editor’s note to a recent column it published by Suzanne Bellsnyder, a rural Texan who wrote about why she was voting for Democrat state Rep. Gina Hinojosa. The paper and writer did not disclose that she was paid by Rep. Gina Hinojosa’s campaign.

Bellsnyder’s firm received payments totaling $57,000 for consulting services for the Democratic candidate’s campaign. Well that’s weird. According to reports, Mag Judge Zia Faruqui today blasted DOJ prosecutors for bringing a political case right before an election.

But Faruqui signed off on at least 3 complaints (not indictments) against Trump supporters right before the 2022 and 2024 elections 🤔

DSA candidate Tim Denson tries to sell the crowd on “democratizing the workplace” and says Walmart should belong to the workers.

Big mistake. The guy 6 ft away from him grew up in Venezuela. And he’s heard this communist fairy tale before.

DANIEL DI MARTINO: “So you want to take it [Walmart] from its owners and have the workers do what?”

TIM DENSON: “I want the workers to own it and get paid better and have better benefits and be able to provide better lives for their families.”

DI MARTINO: “We can buy shares in Walmart right now. In fact, all of the SpaceX workers became millionaires overnight.”

“You can start a workers’ cooperative right now. It’s legal, but under a socialist country, you’re not allowed to own your own property and start your own private corporation.”

Denson tried to refute Di Martino’s point. Then Di Martino dropped this line on him:

DI MARTINO: “It’s very easy to be a socialist in a capitalist country. It’s illegal to be a capitalist in a socialist country. That is the difference.”

Then it got personal:

DI MARTINO: “When I had to go to the grocery store, Tim, I had to put my fingerprint in a scanning machine so that they would tell me what I was allowed to purchase.”

“And I could only go Mondays and Saturdays because we have to ration food, because that’s what happens when there’s no profit motive and the farmers, their food is confiscated because they had to sell it to the government and everybody else at the price the government tells the farmers.”

“My mom made chocolate bonbons for parties.”

“Well, people have a right to chocolate, so we had a price control on chocolate.”

“So my mom had to buy counterfeit chocolate, put it in black bags as if we were cocaine drug dealers. That’s what socialism was in Venezuela. That’s what worker ownership of the means of production is.”

“Where has it ever worked?”

Denson had no answer. Because there isn’t one.

A nurse tries to trap Matt Walsh on abortion, demanding to know why he’d force a 13-year-old to give birth to her rapist’s child.

Then Walsh asks him one medical question, and the nurse wants to run away.

NURSE: “Why do you believe that a 13-year-old should be forced to give birth to their rapist’s child?”

WALSH: “I don’t think that it is ever okay to kill a child.”

Then he flips it.

WALSH: “You’re the medical expert. The unborn child, is that a human being or not?”

NURSE: “That is a religious question.”

WALSH: “It’s not a religious question. It’s a medical question. What is it if it’s not a human being?”

NURSE: “Medically speaking, we don’t consider it a full-fledged human being.”

WALSH: “What do you mean full-fledged?”

Instead of answering, the nurse pivots: why don’t we have “conception certificates”? Or “a heartbeat certificate”?

Walsh even agrees to the heartbeat certificate. But he keeps coming back to the one question.

“Is the unborn child a human being or not?”

Eventually, the nurse tries to bail.

NURSE: “I appreciate your time.”

WALSH: “No, no, no. Come back. Come back here.”

“You’re the medical expert, and you won’t even tell us what a human being is. I’m starting to get concerned.”

Then Walsh sums it up:

“You have one side that can answer directly. It’s never okay to directly and intentionally kill a human child. That was my answer. I think I gave it probably 15, 20 times.

“And then you have the other side that has no answer at all to this question. What is a human child? Can’t even answer it.”

The nurse knew the answer. That’s why he left.
