I help the Toronto Blue Jays get to first base, while living & loving on 34' sloop ONE BEE, digging the good times & taking it easy. PARODY ACCOUNT. Namaste!
So friends, until the next time. Until we open a bottle of wine on deck against the setting sun & grill our fresh catch together. Until we pass some thai stick & really feel the force of the waves beneath us. We'll see each other again, out on the water.

The organization was good to me & we played a lot of great baseball these last four years. But like the sea, the times just keep changing, & one can only hope to sail carefully atop them rather than risk being washed under. You tack with your whole heart against the coming storm.
Should I complain? How could I. Last night Linda & I grilled fresh mangrove snapper & drank a bottle of merlot on the deck of the One Bee. What a life this is to live! I played baseball for a living, & may one day again! Tonight I'll lie down above the waves with not a worry.
Folks want to know where I'm going next. If you know me, you know the answer. I'm already back in the Keys getting the One Bee ready for the end of hurricane season--new hatches and mainsails this year--and honoring the sea so She'll keep us all safe in our partnership with Her.
If you survive the storm, you don't complain where you find yourself: you remain happy you're above the waves, & grateful to your crew for keeping you there. I've the same gratitude to my Blue Jays shipmates past and present. Even you, @brettlawrieRIBS differences in vibes aside.
Brothers & sisters, 1st thanx for yr concerns. Ever since I threw my phone in the Gulf last year I've been off this Twitter ship & healthier for it. But I heard your kind words about the end of my time with these Canadians. Thank you.
Am I the only one who's noticed that our esteemed SportsNet announcers are only one consonant switch away from being Bat and Puck? #AfterGameKushThoughts
Now that I've got that out of the way does anyone have any vaporizer recommendations? My Pax 3 fell overboard while I was fixing a piece of rotten gunwale so I've had to return to rolling pinners. Hard on these aging lungs. What's your vape choice for 2018?
What a day to be playing baseball again. So much sadness, confusion, suffering in the world. It's our job to make people smile and take their minds off their troubles for a few hours playing the most beautiful game well. It is an honour to do our best as people and as sportsmen.
I'm still a parody account, everybody. Don't get me wrong, I exist. I'm just not Tim Leiper: I'm Tim Leiper ON A BOAT. We're physically identical (& godlike) & share a name & job & love of the game. Only I roadied 75-78 for the Doobie Bros, though. Try & top that one, actual Tim.
Point being, approach the season as a sportsman. Don't try and bend the rules to your own angle. Don't scuff the ball or spit on it. Don't let the Red Sox wear watches. Accept good wishes however you receive them, and wish people the best the way you feel right in doing. Namaste.
I'm pleased when someone wishes me "happy holidays." Means they don't know what I believe in but they're still extending good wishes. Back when lived on the boat-commune, we had folks w/lots of different beliefs, but you still want to wish 'em well. Being decent is pretty easy.
Can't wait to get back on the diamond with Marcus. I keep things positive, but here's a young man whose heart is wide open & unguarded. No wonder he plays ball with pure passion. He should inspire you, too, with his optimism and readiness to put everything into playing our game. https://t.co/KJwmL59qv5
Barely three more months & we'll be back in the paradise of the diamond again. Until then, Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, happy Kwanzaa, and if you're not someone who celebrates any of those, then warmth and light in the coldest, darkest time of year. Summer will he back soon. https://t.co/hPC9zncx3X
Obviously if someone asks me to support an idea I don't believe in ("3rd base coach is most important!"), i draw the line. But wishing people well rarely demands they take a hard line. So I focus on the kindness of heart behind the wish and remain open to that compassion.
