Whatever one thinks about the future of SNAP and Medicaid, these programs are currently a chaos of incentives driving chronic disease.
SNAP subsidizes cookies, chips, candy, cereals--grains and sugars that fuel obesity and diabetes.
Through Medicaid, taxpayers pay to treat these diseases with pills and injections rather than reverse them with healthy eating
We are paying to make people sick and then paying again to keep them sick – we should be investing in health, not sickness

@SecKennedy@CalleyMeans and other #MAHA warriors are right to get soda out of SNAP 📷 Let's go after candy and other junk foods next!
The way to reduce spending on SNAP and Medicaid is to incentivize them to #MAHA. A win-win for government spending and for the health of America.
