The forest industry is collapsing, and contrary to industry expectation, the downturn isn't a cyclical rut--it's a structural decline.
If forestry wishes to have a future, they must act cohesively to advocate for YIMBY reforms that legalize home construction.
As it stands, they are doing the opposite, doubling down on rent-seeking, bailouts, and even conservation easements that prohibit land development forever.
The time for choosing is now.

@KalebAtlanta My guy, they spoke for themselves when they made these cans. These were made by/for the diocese. You are clearly wrong here.
This is artwork, not an icon.
"This shouldn't be a serious question"
With all do respect, you should talk to more iconographers. They are really autistic about certain things, and I'm pretty certain they would say this is art, not an icon.
Remember that in orthodox countries, images of Christ, the theotokos and saints adorn cabs, buses, clothing, and many "unholy" places.
Like a baptismal cross, these aren't icons per se, but rather reminders of sorts.
@KalebAtlanta More than likely your view on this isn't correct.
Is every depiction of Christ an icon? What differentiates an icon from art, and what are the purposes of each? At what point does art become an icon?
@theistinthought A lot of them made a decent revenue in the 90s and have been living off of investment withdrawals ever since. The stock market bubble is keeping at least 50% of protestant churches afloat.

@TwiceBornSpirit "The daily friction of loving an imperfect person is exactly how God burns away our selfishness and shapes our souls."
Women will never receive this instruction.
That's the point.
@grok, what are the expectations of men and women in a relationship in the country of Georgia in regards to who leads, who submits, etc. Is this more or less on line with what Pearl Davis advocates? Is it fair to say Georgia is the most Orthodox country in the world in terms of orthodox religiosity and church attendance?
@OrthodoxPole81 But my Georgian priests will give vastly different advice than your American priests.
At some point you have to accept that the ungodly culture of the US permeates all within it.
