Exciting story:

I had a previous history with the family. The incident was crazy.

I knew one day, I would go back home and work. What I was dreaming was that the assignment would come in 2027.

The assignment came two years before my initial plan.

When my name was mentioned to the stakeholders, a lot of them disagreed, but I had a few people who believed in me.

I was scared not because a few people were against my appointment. I was scared if I would be able to make an impact. I was scared but the message kept coming that I should take the job.

I met with the stakeholders to share my side of the story when I resumed. We had a peace meeting and I asked them to support us. My first speech was powerful, and the message changed the entire situation.

A few stakeholders were still adamant and still hold grudges against me, as expected. But the moment I was able to get the majority on my side, I was optimistic about a supportive environment.

Kudos to the stakeholders, fans, and the supporters club for the working relationship.

What we also did was to open our doors for questioning and auditing. It's a government club and we are answerable to the stakeholders, fans, and supporters.

For any questions and queries, we were always available to provide answers and clarity on the situation.

Every day, we show them the chart and backend designed on how we can achieve continental ticket in the first year.

During the down moments, the backend was clear and the period was highlighted in red which means tough periods.

The backend encompasses our roadmap to the third position. So, when we were winless in away games in the second round, we had a plan B which was keeping us in the race.

For every moment that the stakeholders were panicked, we will show them the backend that we are still within the Green arena (Third position).

Then the shocker came, we drew at home against Kwara United and that was never part of the plans.

We could not afford to drop home points at that period. The criticism was so heavy that we had sleepless nights. The stakeholders panicked, and to be honest I was afraid as well, and my belief blinked.

We went into the room and designed a mechanism that will bring us back into the race. Execution path was very tough, then we began to push ourselves hard, like very very hard during the week. BOOM! We got the win in Maiduguri and here comes the double home games. We needed six points and once we clock it, WE ARE ON THE CONTINENT.

This narration looks like a movie script right? Trust me, it was a lot of crazy work from the Management, Coaches, Players, and Backroom staff.
