Let me say this plainly.
Most people aren’t stuck because they lack talent.
They’re stuck because they start everything with pressure instead of curiosity.

This week alone, three people asked me:
“Josh, how do you stay consistent without burning out?”

Honestly, it’s simple.
I learn with curiosity, not fear.

When I was picking up SQL, Python, FastAPI, Dune, ML… I wasn’t telling myself,
“This thing must change my life today.”
I just followed whatever caught my interest in that moment.

That’s how real progress shows up.

Your best results come when you stop trying to force greatness and let yourself learn at a steady, honest pace.

If you feel stuck, here’s what actually helps:

• Pick one thing that excites you even a little
• Show up for it daily in small bits
• Don’t stress about the timeline
• Let curiosity guide you

For example… if you want to become a @dune wizard, spend time exploring other people’s queries and dashboards.
Play around with building your own.
Test advanced features like materialized views, understand why they matter, work with them, then generate sub-queries from that base table.
You’ll start seeing how to fix real problems — unoptimized dashboards, slow queries, high credit usage — and you can pitch better strategies to teams.
Something that small can open real doors.

After that, move to the next skill and build from there.

Consistency becomes easier when what you’re learning feeds your mind, not your anxiety.

Building this taught me so much about merging traditional accounting principles with blockchain data. The challenge wasn't just technical, it was figuring out how to properly categorize crypto transactions using GAAP standards.

Currently working on expanding this to multi-chain wallets and adding tax optimization features.

I just built one that doesn't.
The numbers: 218M users. 4.3B transactions processed.
Only 0.17% understand what's possible.

Here's what I found:
→ 85% of users stick to 1 protocol
→ 54K power users explore 40+ protocols
→ Same capabilities. Completely different knowledge.

Why the gap?
Sui isn't just fast. It's a different paradigm entirely.
You can compose across protocols simultaneously. Run operations in parallel. Build in ways other chains can't.
Most users have no idea.
The retention data proves it:
Best cohort: 24% (June 2025)
Typical cohorts: <5%

The difference? Users who explore multiple protocols stay 5x longer.
This isn't a user problem. It's a discovery problem.
