Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the U.S. military and our gulf allies, the seven-day average for oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz is currently up to almost 9 million barrels per day.

When combined with the additional 5-7 million barrels per day leaving the region via newly upgraded pipelines and export facilities, total oil flows are currently averaging approximately 15 million barrels per day. 

On Sunday alone, over 20 million barrels left the Arabian gulf region, which is above the pre-conflict average.

Bernard Arnault going direct is remarkable and worth reading in full

The single most impressive thing is that Arnault (personally, not via company spokesman) responds to a major hit piece without at all accepting the role of defendant

He never complains about “biased reporters” or “they ignored our fact check” etc. He instead:

1) Does not flinch. He starts by giving the rebuttal a title: “Thank You.” Not “Addressing Recent Allegations” or whatever but implying the expose has backfired and made him look good.

Eg: “They used to call me The Terminator. I prefer ‘the last royal family.’ It’s more elegant, and probably better for Dior sales.”
Tone stays measured and bemused throughout; it’s giving Logan Roy

2) Lampoons the allegations. His wry humor makes the expose seem silly and theatrical, his tone is like he’s divulging a stupid child.
He opens with, “Apparently I am the head of ‘the last royal family of France’.”

And drops gems like, “At the Arnault family, apparently, we don’t argue, we conspire. We don’t deliberate, we plot. It’s novelistic… What, in an ordinary family, is simply called Sunday lunch becomes, in our case, an intrigue. It’s a matter of vocabulary.”

3) Reframes the whole narrative. From billionaire to steward, from an oligarch pursuing power to a patriarch preserving an institution built by and for others

Eg: “You describe power as though it were a prize to be won. I experience it as a responsibility to be passed on.
The houses entrusted to me are older than I am. Most will outlive me. My role is to hand them on stronger than I found them. That is why I reject the idea of a dynasty. Dynasties exist to preserve privileges. We work to preserve craftsmanship.”

Interestingly, in the very act of doing this Arnault shows how masterful he is at wielding power, and he summons that skill here to make the reporters look like bumbling neophytes

they’re not jobs if they’re not valued. they’re not valued if there aren’t customers out there willing to pay them for their great work. needing the government to “create” a job is tantamount to welfare and that level of welfare resolves these individuals to a dependency on the government and lack of economic mobility. and chains our people, collectively, to a more indentured future.

you may be well intentioned but you have, and always will, fail to see the destitute folly of government as a job creation engine.

i have tried to engage you on this topic, in good faith, with empiricism and reasoning, but you have only dodged my points and pivoted to some populist refrain about the importance of taxation and the evils of productivity-driven success.

i can only assume you’re dodging these truths because you and the rest of the politburo leadership have deemed the conversation unsafe speech and put your oligopoly at risk.

Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it.

Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse.

It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.
