I watched a bossy mother magpie feeding her youngster above me in a tree. It was very hungry. Sidney Squirrel came a bit too near them on the branch and was told off in no uncertain way. You should have seen him move !

The squirrels have finally moved on having uprooted and chewed the humans newly planted pot plants. I couldn't do a thing about it except give a disapproving glare. I hope they stay away.

I am quite relieved that the family of squirrels seems to have moved away. They took my cuttlefish bone and threw it away and have eaten some of my greens. They can go and annoy someone else now !

@bigmacdturtle Oh dear, that is really bad mannered of them, but they are so fast, they've probably done it before they realise you are there.

Weather has been a bit iffy lately. I've got new neighbours, a family of squirrels who've been leaping around above me in the trees. I've been expecting one to come tumbling down, but so far, so good.

I amazed everyone by getting up and out at 7.30 this morning. I knew it was going to be a lovely day. On my way back to bed now.

@Grandma_Bobbins I've been asleep again until today when I got up early and have been basking in the sun all day. I think spring is really here.

Winter sleep is over and I'm back in the garden again. Temp has been 18C for a while today, so nice to stretch the legs comfortably. Here's to a lovely spring/summer.

@Janhatesmarmite Timmi did the same. We've got a bitter north easterly wind that nearly bites your ears off bringing the air temperature down.

I've received the forecast and have decided that it's time to hibernate.
The PA will keep an eye on the account until I surface in the spring.

We're missing our @RosieJRussell patrol who could clear a complete garden of predators with one mighty bark and a dash towards the offenders.

I do seem to be having anti social birds causing me problems this year.
Today a seagull swooped in and whisked my cuttlefish bone away.
Luckily he saw the error and dropped it round the side of the house.
Specs for Gulls !

@Janhatesmarmite A good idea. I just think this silly gull thought it was a bit of bread and let it go when he realised it wasn't.
