@Eurostar outrageous - YOU LIED! “Train now ready for boarding” - we are now stranded on freezing Amsterdam platform with no train (45min delay) 🥶 Deceitful trick to remove us from warm lounge – with no re-admittance ⛔️ SHAME ON YOU
WARNING - @theTrainline + @Trenitalia
Took 10 months to refund a €300 train booking which was cancelled…Trainline washed their hands of it (though I paid them the money) Trenitalia emails were all from no reply@trenitalia. I had to sit and wait 😡Clueless service.
The extent of the cancer crisis is becoming clearer, and it is devastating.
At Rutherford, we want to do more to help.
Our not-for-profit offer would enable thousands of patients to access our world-class facilities almost immediately.
Thanks to the Express/@ExpressGilo.
"7,000 fewer breast cancers were detected via screening in women aged 45 and over (down 39.2%) over the reporting period, compared to the year before."
Awful figures from the first year of the pandemic.

"UP to 100,000 cancer patients have either received no treatment or seen their treatment delayed - more than double current government estimates."
Every minister should read this from @thelucyjohnston.

Extremely concerning statistics from King's on the cancer crisis.
As many as 100,000 people affected by missed diagnosis or delayed diagnosis/treatment between March 2020 - January 2021.
How many will that be now? The life-years lost will be devastating.
More and more headlines on the cancer crisis.
Oncologists in our Rutherford network and beyond have been as worried as me about this for months and months.
The life-years lost will be staggering.
We need to tackle this crisis with the same effort as the virus in my view.
This #WorldCancerDay is particularly important.
47,000 people who have not received their diagnosis and 24,000 who started treatment with delays.
I was fortunate to be diagnosed at an early stage, thousands and thousands of people won't get that chance.
Dreadfully sad.
"We estimate that amongst detected urgent cancer cases, 53,068 people had their cancer care delayed past the NHS set goal"
"32,189 people not getting treatment after a decision was made to start."
This is detected cases, not including missing patients.

"With tens of thousands of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends and colleagues unknowingly developing advanced cancer, there really is no time to waste."
Great article.
Here's my piece on how we can win the 'war' on cancer.
Awareness is vital.
50,000 'missing' patients, with 24,000 patients with treatment significantly delayed. I fear that could be worse already.
Progress is being made, but there's no time to waste.

Our Son Adam appeared on itv tonight ‘ when can I see my GP last week. Couldn't get a GP appointment and fobbed off by 111. Diagnosed with a malignant grade 4 GBM in November. We'll never know how different things may have been. Bitter is an understatement.
We don't hear much in parts of the media these days about the tens of thousands of people who have missed their cancer diagnosis...
I was fortunate to receive my cancer diagnosis relatively early. Thousands and thousands of people won't get that chance.
I've been critical of politicians over the lack of attention on the cancer crisis, so to see MPs debating radiotherapy access in Westminster today is a huge step forward.
Thanks to all involved who so eloquently and passionately outlined the crisis that we are facing.
A tumour won't grow and spread uncontrollably over days or weeks, but months are often the difference between life/death.
50,000 missing cancer patients, with 24,000 extra significantly delayed. Those graphs aren't shown at the conferences.
With the numbers set to increase.
