Hoy, 4 de julio, el pueblo de los Estados Unidos celebra los 250 años de su Independencia. Dos siglos y medio de una historia marcada por inmensos desafíos, pero sobre todo, por una determinación indomable: la certeza de que la libertad es el único fundamento sobre el cual se edifica una nación próspera y digna. Esa convicción convirtió a los Estados Unidos en el gran faro de esperanza para el mundo libre.

Los Padres Fundadores plasmaron en Filadelfia una verdad eterna: que la vida, la libertad y la búsqueda de la felicidad son derechos inalienables. No son dádivas de un monarca, ni concesiones de un gobernante; son derechos otorgados por el Creador que pertenecen a cada individuo por su sola dignidad humana. Pero ellos sabían que la libertad es frágil si no se protege, y por eso nos legaron su mayor aporte institucional: una República basada en la estricta separación de poderes y el imperio de la ley, un sistema diseñado para que el poder frene al poder y nunca más degenere en tiranía.

Venezuela y los Estados Unidos comparten ese mismo ADN republicano. Somos aliados históricos y naturales, unidos por el arraigo de nuestros valores democráticos. No es una casualidad que nuestras fechas fundacionales estén unidas en el calendario: mañana, 5 de julio, los venezolanos conmemoramos 215 años de nuestra propia gesta de Independencia. Esta proximidad en el tiempo simboliza un destino compartido: la vocación irrenunciable de ser libres.

Hoy, mientras el pueblo estadounidense celebra este cuarto de milenio de libertad constitucional, los venezolanos libramos nuestra propia batalla histórica para rescatar esos mismos principios: la división de poderes, la justicia independiente y la dignidad de los ciudadanos. En este día de júbilo, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso de avanzar unidos por un hemisferio de paz, donde la opresión sea cosa del pasado y donde la libertad y las oportunidades cobijen a cada uno de nuestros hijos.

En esta hora decisiva, expresamos nuestro más profundo agradecimiento al pueblo de los Estados Unidos; al Presidente Trump y a su gobierno; a sus funcionarios, militares y servidores públicos; y a todos quienes, con su compromiso y liderazgo, hacen de ese país una gran nación. Su apoyo ha sido un testimonio de solidaridad, firmeza y defensa de los valores de la libertad, en un momento crucial para Venezuela y para nuestro hemisferio.

Mantengámonos firmes en este camino. La libertad siempre prevalece.

Que Dios bendiga al pueblo de los Estados Unidos, y que Dios bendiga e ilumine a nuestra amada Venezuela!!!

Today, July 4, the people of the United States celebrate 250 years of Independence. Two and a half centuries of history marked by immense challenges, but above all by an unshakable conviction: that freedom is the only foundation upon which a prosperous and dignified nation can be built. It is this conviction that made the United States a beacon of hope for the free world.

In Philadelphia, the Founding Fathers enshrined an enduring truth: that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are inalienable rights. They are not gifts bestowed by a monarch or concessions granted by a ruler; they are rights endowed by our Creator, belonging to every individual by virtue of their inherent human dignity. Yet they also understood that liberty is fragile unless it is protected. That is why they gave the world one of history’s greatest institutional legacies: a Republic founded on the separation of powers and the rule of law—a system designed to ensure that power checks power, and that government never again descends into tyranny.

Venezuela and the United States share that same republican DNA. We are historic and natural allies, bound together by our commitment to democratic values. It is no coincidence that our founding anniversaries stand side by side on the calendar: tomorrow, July 5, Venezuelans will commemorate the 215th anniversary of our own Independence. That proximity reflects a shared destiny and an unwavering commitment to liberty.

Today, as Americans celebrate a quarter of a millennium of constitutional freedom, Venezuelans continue our own historic struggle to restore those very same principles: the separation of powers, an independent judiciary, and the dignity of every citizen. On this day of celebration, we reaffirm our commitment to building, together, a hemisphere defined by peace, where oppression belongs to the past and where freedom and opportunity embrace every one of our children.

At this decisive moment, we express our deepest gratitude to the American people; to President Trump and his administration; to the public servants, members of the armed forces, and all those whose leadership and commitment make the United States a great nation. Your support has been a powerful testament to solidarity, resolve, and the defense of liberty’s enduring values at a critical moment for Venezuela and for our hemisphere.

Let us remain steadfast on this path. Freedom always prevails.

God bless the people of the United States, and may God bless and guide our beloved Venezuela.
