The PGA Championship tees off next week, and Kentuckiana will have another golfer to cheer on.
@Timothy2213 will go from being the local PGA Pro to competing against the best in golf.
The best part is, he's got a new addition to his cheering section.
The Americas Tour has played the first two events without a full field.
The first one was 6 short. This one is also currently 6 short.
There were Monday Qs for both but they didn’t expand the amount of spots available despite the field being short.
It makes no sense that if the players are competitive in the Monday (as an example Fred Biondi, who was an All-American and made pga tour cuts this season) missed at the first Monday) that they wouldn’t expand the spots available.
Some of the Mondays are in remote places and there aren’t competitive scores, so I understand not expanding in those cases.
But it’s the Double-A equivalent, why would they limit playing opportunities and not fill the field.
Timothy Wiseman finished -1 for the tournament, securing his win at the Tournament of Champions at The Sagamore Club. Both Jamie Broce and Mike Asbell (not pictured) tied for second place with a total score of +1. #INPGAChamp
Today at the #INPGAAnnualBusinessMeeting we recognized our 2023 #IndianaPGA Players of the Year.
Those award winners included:
Indiana PGA Player of the Year - Timothy Wiseman, Old Capital Golf Club
Indiana PGA Brittany Kelly Women’s Player of the Year - Sabrina Bonanno, Sycamore Hills Golf Club

Two ELITE ball strikers with two opposite sides of the spectrum with their club and wrist angles. Will Zalatoris, wide open, Viktor Hovland super closed. There is no right or wrong.
Don’t get caught up with swing theory or making ur swing look a certain way by adding one or two pieces of someone else’s swing and attaching it to your own. Make changes that will help YOUR swing.
Congratulations to our 2023 #INPGAPro Champion, Timothy Wiseman of Old Capital GC! Wiseman finished 8-under with rounds of 68,68 to defend his 2022 title.
The fight for second was a close battle that ended with Vince Drahman of Old Oakland GC and Craig Isabel of Stonehenge Golf both claiming the runner-up spot.
Wiseman, Drahman, Isabel, and Jamie Broce of IUPUI Athletics have all qualified for the National Championship in May of 2024.

Took a gut punch today, but I feel so incredibly grateful for all the support this week. Nothing makes me more proud than representing my family, my community, and the Indiana Section. I appreciate you all! Head is high and we’re moving forward to what’s next! @IndianaGolf@PGA
