There are problems that are best handled by the government, but there are other problems that are better suited for private companies, culture, or religion to solve. When the government tries to solve all of these problems with laws and a checkbook, it's not surprising it fails

So, alas, it seems the only solution is a system of checks and balances on limited govt with a federal govt with only specifically enumerated powers.
