Kathy Hochul just announced she is putting 7,000 criminals back on the streets of New York.

That is not criminal justice reform. That is a decision to make law-abiding people live with the risk.

Trump’s point is simple. The federal government is moving the worst offenders out faster than any administration in memory. 

New York’s governor is doing the opposite. She is opening the door and sending them back into the neighborhoods her own residents still have to walk through.

You cannot talk about safer streets, safer subways, or safer schools while you are emptying cells on purpose.

If you want fewer victims, you keep violent people locked up. If you want more of them, you do what Hochul just did.
